We’re all feeling the pinch these days, but the small businesses in Hayes Valley are here to help with the new Hayes Valley Money rewards program! Here’s how it works: shop at any participating merchant for a chance to win a Hayes Valley Money card good for $5, $10, or even $20! You can use your reward card in the shop where you got it or at any other participating store. Just look for the “money card participating merchant” signs in store windows or refer to the list below.
Hayes Valley Money rewards cards are good for 30 days—perfect for using towards your holiday shopping. So this year, instead of spending bundles on piles of disposable “stuff,” why not get everyone on your list one thoughtful, distinctive present that they will truly cherish? Gifts like a bottle of hot sake, a pair of knitted gloves, or a cozy throw are all guaranteed to warm your loved ones’ hearts and hands. You can also purchase Hayes Valley Money cards to give to your friends as gift cards--a great gift idea for those hard-to-shop-for people on your list!
This holiday season, help keep our small businesses alive by shopping local, and they’ll give back to you!

Reaves Gallery kicks off the new year with new works by David Imlay. Drawing influence from twentieth century American Contemporary Realism and Photorealism, this series showcases urban and suburban landscapes as well as figurative. Non-specific subjects encourage the viewer to make a personal connection to stillness and isolation while usage of warm light and limited color are meant to conjure an emotional dissonance tinged with nostalgia and hope.
David Imlay studied Illustration at San Jose State University as well as Lorenzo De Medici in Florence, Italy. He graduated with a BFA in Illustration in 2001 and currently resides in San Francisco where he works as a freelance Illustrator and Fine Artist.

Thanks to everyone who made the Circle of Joy Art Auction a success. We will post the total raised for Opportunity Impact and full gallery of all the wreaths shortly.
